Learning to swim—and loving it (Ages 4+)
These lessons develop strong technique and safety skills, in small, friendly groups where progress and fun go hand in hand. We will take them from learning their first strokes to mastering all 4 strokes, racing dives and water rescue.

Water Confidence:
For children who are new to independent swimming.
Enter the pool without a parent/carer
Beginning to swim short distances, often with flotation aids
Gaining confidence in the water
Beginner swimmer:
For children who are starting to swim on their own.
Swimming short distances or very close to doing so
Comfortable putting their face in the water (with some exceptions)
Beginning to learn basic stroke movements
Intermediate Swimmer:
For children who can swim with more control and stamina.
Swimming 5 metres confidently and consistently
Working towards 10 metres and learning to breathe over longer distances
Confident swimming out of their depth
Can swim front crawl, breaststroke, and backstroke, and may try butterfly
Confident swimmer:
For children who are solid, consistent swimmers.
Swimming 10 metres or more with ease
Comfortable swimming out of depth
Swims front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, and explores butterfly
Stroke Development:
For children refining their technique across all strokes.
Swimming 10 metres or more with confidence and good form
Working on technique in front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly
Advanced Swimmer:
For children building stamina and mastering technique.
Swimming multiple 10-metre lengths
Shows good technique across all four strokes
Comfortable diving
