“My daughter has tried swimming at various places in East Sussex since she was tiny. She made some progress, but there was always a sticking point - putting her head under the water. She works hard and she’s a “thinker” - always keen to please her teacher but not able to get past this step. As soon as we started at Pix Hall, I could tell that their approach would make all the difference. Charlie created a warm, calm and safe space in the water with her. She was smiley and spoke kindly and - the game changer for us - consistently playful. Whilst playing, giggling and splashing my daughter started to put her head under without even realising she was doing it. Charlie had endless games and jokes up her sleeve that kept my daughter feeling relaxed enough to take risks and learn.
